The first thing I noticed is the transformation of the steering feel and responsiveness. What a huge difference.
To
compliment the steering the brakes are now excellent. Quite superb.
The
new suspension set-up, tyres and wheels give her a far better stance on
the road and gliding through the corners in the Scottish Borders
without the normal pitch, yaw and roll was a sheer delight. It is now so
easy to forget that you are driving a 23 year old car, she handles
beautifully.
The
whole journey home the engine never missed a beat and even after three
stops along the way my average speed was 53 m.p.h. At one point I’m sure
I saw a 640i BMW driver check his handbrake as I scooted up behind him
and then wafted past serenely.
Some bad news, I will have to make a journey to the hospital today to have this ridiculous grin surgically removed from my face. I am delighted with the car and dealing with you and the rest of the KWE Team has been a pleasure. Many, many thanks.
